Apollo Children’s Hospitals, successfully performed a Redilatable Stent Implantation procedure on a pre-term baby

Dr. CS. Muthukumaran, Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist, Apollo Children’s Hospitals and his team performed a Redilatable Stent Implantation procedure on a pre-term baby boy and gave a new lease of life. The baby was diagnosed with severe coarctation (narrowing) of aorta, a potentially dangerous heart defect that restricts the amount of blood being pumped around the body and required immediate surgical intervention.
