Organisational values are a way of life at Apollo, and are reflected in our behaviour and communication across the spectrum of a patient’s journey at our facilities. Our values are the compass that guide and govern every single act a nurse does.
Clinical outcomes at Apollo are benchmarked against the best in the world, and it is a diligent nursing workforce that drives and sustains them along with the key stakeholders. Nursing at Apollo is not the backbone but the tiara that adorns the head. An embodiment of pride and prestige. A perfect combination of clinical acumen and emotional intelligent. The logo stands testimony to the fact that nurses at Apollo are the torchbearers, the forerunners, the crusaders, and the creators of change.
Tender Loving Care (TLC) is at the core of Apollo Hospitals model of care, and it continues to be the magic that inspires hope, warmth, and a sense of ease in the patients.
As a workplace, we stand distinguished in a competitive environment by virtue of being agile and responsive to an increasingly complex healthcare environment. An extensive and elaborate induction programme, and unit-specific training, enables novice recruits to get acclimatised to the complex clinical milieu, and expand the sphere of their skills and knowledge to develop the requisite proficiency to navigate the healthcare system with dexterity.
Our focus on patient safety, quality, and accreditation puts the nurse on a pedestal in the clinical arena, thus becoming true advocates of the patient and clinical outcomes. Leveraging technology to support the nurses for the requisite clinical support and inventory backup has been a constant endeavour. We will also continue to set the standard for building a culture of compliance while we bank on technology for accelerating our efforts.
Apollo Hospitals has taken the spirit of leadership well beyond business metrics. It aims to move healthcare out of the hospitals to the point of origin of diseases. The nursing fraternity is geared up to work as a constructive partner in the community, promoting integration of health and social care to play our part in minimising disease burden.
Apollo’s 7th National Nursing Conclave
The 7th Annual National Nursing Conclave was organised by Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi on 16th November 2016 at Taj Vivanta, Surajkund. The theme “Leading Change by Changing the Way You Lead” was in sync with the paradigm shift in leadership that we are witnessing across the healthcare sector in India. The proverbial glass ceiling has been breached with nursing leading the charge. The conference sought to fine-tune their leadership skills, emotional fortitude, and to empower them. More than 600 delegates comprising nursing leaders, professionals, nurse educators, and students in Delhi and the Apollo Group across the country participated enthusiastically in the event.
