Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Delhi has successfully operated on a 7-month-old Congolese baby for a rare heart disorder
A 7-month-old baby from Congo was successfully operated by Dr. Muthu Jothi, Senior Consultant, Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals for a rare congenital heart disease. Baby Banguli was detected with type 3 Truncus Arteriosus (TA); such cases are generally operated on before three months of age. However, in this case, the patient was seven months old hence there was high risk involved.
