Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar has successfully performed a rare Gynaecological surgery on a 19-year-old girl diagnosed with OHVIRA syndrome

Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic fear, the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar gave a new lease of life to a 19-year-old girl who was diagnosed with an extremely rare syndrome, OHVIRA. The patient was having a double cervix, double uterus double vagina and one kidney,

At Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar, patient was successfully treated by Dr GSS Mohapatra, Senior Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and his team. This is also the first such case in the medical history of Odisha.
