Apollo Hospitals, Indore performs Central India’s first complex cardiac surgery by implanting a permanent pacemaker on a two-day-old newborn baby
Apollo Rajshree Hospital, Indore saved a 2-day-old newborn baby weighing 2 kg with a heart rate of just 50 beats per minute. The team consisting of Dr. Nishit Bhargava, Dr. Sanjukta Bhargava, Dr. Zafar Khan and Dr. Bipin Arya successfully performed complex surgery on the newborn baby and implanted a permanent pacemaker. Without this treatment it was otherwise impossible for the newborn to survive.
