Outcomes measurement using ICHOM standard sets commences at Apollo Hospitals
The Apollo Hospitals Group has been the first corporate hospital in India to start benchmarking and monitoring clinical performance outcomes since 2005. In order to efficiently measure and compare key clinical outcome indicators across all the hospitals across the Apollo Hospitals group, the ACE@25 scoring system was devised and is successfully used.
Today, we are proud to have taken yet another step in measuring clinical outcomes. We have commenced our partnership with ICHOM , the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement , an organization that Boston Consulting Group co- founded with Professor Michael Porter of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
We will be measuring the ICHOM Standard Sets for specific diseases and conditions and will be measuring both physician related data and also filling “Patient Reported Outcome Measures”, (PROMS).
