Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata, launched Elderly Care Clinic to deliver specialized care for the senior populace

Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata has set up several dedicated units to address the particular requirements of the different segments of the population. Continuing with its saga of delivering world-class excellence, Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata announced the inauguration of a specialized Elderly Care Clinic to address the distinct needs of the senior populace.

The number of elderly in India, currently accounting for over 8.6% of the total population of the country, is expected to register an almost 50% growth by 2026. This increase in the size and share of the elder citizens calls for a new approach to the delivery of treatment and care options that cater to their special requirements.
