ABOUT THE PATIENT AND CONDITION

A 29-year-old gentleman was presented at Apollomedics Super Specialty Hospital, Lucknow with bent curvature of the spine with a back hump. He complained of backache for the last 6 years. There was history of spinal tuberculosis 6 years back, which had been managed conservatively elsewhere.

CASE SCENARIO

Patient was admitted under Dr. Apoorv Kumar Agarwal is Consultant Spine Surgeon, Apollomedics Super Specialty Hospital, Lucknow. He was clinico-radiologically evaluated and diagnosed with Post Tubercular Thoraco-Lumbar Kyphosis of 74°. 6 years back, patient was treated in other centre for Spinal TB in form of medications. However, the vertebral destruction secondary had been neglected, which lead to the current condition of thoraco-lumbar kyphosis of 74°. It was accompanied by pain, hampering his activities of daily living and affecting his self-confidence due to the spinal deformity.
