Paediatric Sickle Cell Anaemia

Blood test - Complete blood count (CBC) including Haemoglobin (Hb) to rule out sickle cell anaemia. Other tests include Haematocrit count, Reticulocyte count, Hb electrophoresis, Urine analysis, Serum bilirubin, and platelet count.

Gene mutation analysis - This is the confirmatory test.
