ADMISSION GUIDELINES

Apollo Cancer Centre prides itself in setting newer standards of excellence every day - be it in technology, advances in treatment or patient satisfaction.  We understand how stressful a diagnosis of cancer, its treatment and associated costing can be. With this in mind we have different categories of rooms to accommodate your needs.

Amenities to ensure a comfortable stay, for both the patient and their caregiver is provided by the hospital. Wi-fi facility is available throughout the hospital.

Every patient attendant is provided with a cot/ couch for their comfort.

Apart from the Standard bed and Single Room, all other room/ bed categories have an attached washroom.


The room categories are:

  • Standard Bed: Dormitory with a common washroom
  • Single Room: Independent room with a common washroom
  • Semi-Private Room: Room with two/ four beds with a television and an attached washroom.
  • Private Room: An individual room with a television and an attached washroom.
  • Deluxe Room: An individual room with a television, refrigerator, microwave oven and an attached washroom. This room is larger than the Private Room.
  • Super Deluxe Room: An individual room with a television, refrigerator, microwave oven and an attached washroom. This room is larger than the Deluxe Room.
  • Suite Room: An individual room with a television, refrigerator, microwave oven and an attached washroom. This room is larger than the Super Deluxe Room.
  • Special Suite Room: An individual room with an attached waiting area. This room is larger than a Suite room and has television, sofa sets, dining table, a refrigerator, microwave oven and an attached washroom.
  • Presidential Suite Room: An individual room with a comfortable lounge for visitors. It has an additional room for the attendant with an attached washroom. This room is has a television, sofa sets, a massage chair, dining table, a refrigerator, microwave oven and an attached washroom for the patient.

Admission guidelines:

  • After receiving the admission slip from the doctor, kindly make reservations for a room in the preferred category at the Admission counter
  • On admission of the patient, one attendant is requested to stay with the patient at all times.
  • For children below the age of 5 years, two attendants are permitted to stay with the child.
  • A cot/couch is provided in the room to facilitate the stay of the patient attendant.
  • Room rent is inclusive of diet for the patient for the duration of their stay
  • Depending upon the booking and availability of the requested category of room, the admission process is completed.
    • Admission for cash patients - At the time of admission, an initial deposit will have to be paid depending upon the treatment required and category of room occupied.
    • Admission for insurance patients - an approval from the said insurance company is required prior to admission for cashless mode of hospitalization.
    • Admission for Corporate patients - an authorization or letter of credit from the concerned company is to be produced at the time of admission.
  • If an authorization / credit letter from the said insurance provider or the said company is not received on admission then you are requested to pay an initial deposit towards the cost of treatment.
  • An initial deposit will be collected, for insurance / corporate patients for coverage of the non-medical and non-payable expenses.
  • In case of an emergency admission, the patient is first admitted to the emergency unit and later shifted to the room /ward.
