Pancreas Cancer

The pancreas is located in the abdomen behind the lower part of the stomach. The pancreas secretes enzymes that aid digestion and hormones that help regulate the metabolism of sugars.

• There are two major types of Pancreatic cancer.
• Adenocarcinoma - Arises from the exocrine cell and is the most common type
• Neuroendocrine tumour (NET)- Arises from the endocrine cells of the pancreas. Some NETs are Insulinoma, Glucagonoma, Gastrinoma etc.
