• Epstein-Barr virus infection
• Past cancer treatment with radiation therapy
• Certain hereditary immune system conditions such as
• Ataxia-telangiectasia
• Nijmegen breakage syndrome
• Constitutional mismatch repair deficiency
• They are immunosuppressed or Immunocompromised due to medications taken post organ transplant or infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
