Signs and Symptoms

The signs and symptoms of Hodgkin lymphoma depend on where the cancer forms in the body and the extent of cancer.

  • Painless, swollen lymph nodes near the collarbone or in the neck, chest, underarm, or groyne region
  • Fever of no known origin
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Drenching night sweats
  • Feeling very tired
  • Anorexia
  • Itchy skin
  • Coughing
  • Trouble breathing, especially when lying down

B symptoms - Fever for no known reason, unexplained weight loss and drenching night sweats are called B symptoms. These are an essential part of staging Hodgkin lymphoma.
