The Mediastinum is a portion of the thoracic cavity that contains the Heart, Thymus gland, and portions of the Trachea and Esophagus. It has superior and inferior divisions, the inferior division is further divided into the anterior, middle, and posterior mediastinum. Tumors arising in the mediastinum are called Mediastinal Tumors.
