In a remarkable demonstration of clinical excellence and advanced cardiovascular care, interventional cardiology specialists at Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, Chennai, successfully treated a 73-year-old patient with an exceptionally complex cardiac history. The patient, who had previously undergone multiple heart valve interventions, was admitted after collapsing due to severe cardiac rhythm disturbances and an extremely slow heart rate.

Tamil Nadu has marked a significant advancement in cardiac electrophysiology with the successful completion of the state’s first Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) procedure for the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation (AF) at Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, Chennai. The procedure was performed by Dr. Karthigesan AM, Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, on a 73-year-old patient with a complex heart rhythm disorder, helping restore normal heart rhythm and significantly improving her symptoms and quality of life.

Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Madurai, has successfully performed a scarless Vacuum-Assisted Breast Biopsy (VABB) procedure to remove a benign breast tumor in a 20-year-old woman from Tenkasi, highlighting the growing role of minimally invasive interventions in breast care.
