Prize Distribution for Winners of Essay Competition for Girl Students on Women’s Role in Society.(Organised by Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals under CSR)“The Chief Guest for the event was Mr Sarvesh Kumar, Input Editor, Dainik Jagran, who spoke at the event.

In order to encourage academic excellence among underpriviliged children, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals organised a scholarship examination in four MCD schools for girls and boys of standards 3 to 5 on Nocember 23 and 24, 2016. A total of 300 students (150 boys and 150 girls) from 4 MCD primary schools in Delhi were awarded Scholarship prizes of a warm full tracksuit set and canvas shoes on December 19, 2016. The winning students and staff from both schools were very happy and excited with the prizes.

It was a proud day for Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals on June 27, 2019, as its CSR project A Healthy Start bagged the prestigious CSR Health Impact Award 2019. The project was awarded Leader in the Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) category for touching the lives of 50,000 underprivileged school children in Delhi by constructing over 100 toilets as well as providing drinking water solutions in Government schools. Lack of toilets is one of the leading causes of water borne diseases among children.

Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals’ is conducting health camps for underprivileged communities in Shakur Basti, New Delhi, towards improving their access to preventive healthcare. Two Apollo Arogya Health Camps have been held every month since November 2018 – a general health camp as well as specialized health services for mothers and children through Matru Shishu camp. Awareness sessions are also being conducted amongst the community on sanitation and hygiene in this six-month project
