• IGRT reduces potential side effects and toxicity of treatment by reducing the dose to normal structures. It also prevents treatment failure and makes sure that the dose is delivered with higher precision. This reduces the chances of recurrence due to sub- lethal dose caused by occasional miss to the target that might occur due to target motion. This improves the safety of treatment and has enabled us to escalate doses of radiation and thereby increasing the chances of cure.
