Apollo Proton Cancer Centre has launched a Drive Away Breast Cancer initiative to raise breast cancer awareness.

To raise awareness about breast cancer, Apollo Proton Cancer Centre had launched a Pan-India initiative ‘Drive Away Breast Cancer’. The initiative was focused on ensuring that every woman has knowledge and understanding about breast cancer, is self-examining for early diagnosis and living a healthy life .

As part of this initiative, a couple from Tamil Nadu, Ms. Logeshwari and Mr. Pream set out on a bike journey on June 21, 2022, traversing the length and breadth of the country including Nepal in their Royal Enfield Himalayan to raise awareness about breast cancer.

National Board of Examinations awards for excellence in Medical Education

The National Board of examinations, on the occasion of the 19th convocation held in New Delhi on September 21, 2018 saw honors being conferred to many distinguished faculty as well as eminent NBE accredited institutions for their outstanding contribution to the DNB/FNB courses. During the convocation over 300 DNB trainees have been awarded Gold Medals for their outstanding performance in the final examination in various specialties and subspecialties for the AY 2014 to 2017.

Apollo Proton Cancer Centre (APCC) and Ion Beam Applications (IBA), Belgium have signed an agreement to offer proton therapy training and education for clinicians in Asia and across the globe.

Apollo Hospitals has acquired IBA’s Proteus®PLUS proton therapy system and has been successfully treating cancer patients for over three years. Now, with this association, APCC will impart knowledge through its advanced training and education program on proton therapy to clinicians.
