“My dear friend, life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about dancing in the rain. Likewise, you bounce back with that energy to fight for anything come what may.” This was one of the 100 letters written by students of Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Mylapore, Chennai, to cancer patients who are getting treated at the Apollo Proton Cancer Centre (APCC).

On receiving the letter from one of the students, 55-year-old Mr. S. Nambiar’s eyes welled up with tears of joy. He said, “This is a very kind gesture and it brought back many old memories.”

Hyderabad, January 15, 2014: The 600-page biography of Dr. Prathap C. Reddy – “Healer: Dr. Prathap Chandra Reddy and the Transformation of India” was formally released at Apollo Health City, on Wednesday. The biography has been brought out by Penguin, the world’s largest publisher and authored by Pranay Gupte, the veteran international journalist, biographer and historian. Yusuf and his team has created a milestone by performing the Robotic Assisted Minimally Invasive Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) on a 93-year-old patient. The team has performed complex robotic-assisted minimally invasive cardiac surgery on patients above 70 years of age.
