Prof. Dr. Manoj Kumar Sahu is a highly accomplished Gastroenterology and GI Medicine Specialist with over 30 years of clinical experience, widely recognized for his expertise in gastroenterology, hepatology, and interventional endoscopy. With an outstanding 96% patient recommendation from more than 550 patients, he is known for his compassionate care, clinical precision, and advanced procedural skills. He holds an MBBS, MD (Medicine), and DM in Gastroenterology from CMC Vellore, along with prestigious fellowships such as FSGEI, FISG, and MNAMS. Dr. Sahu is proficient in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Odia, Bengali, and Tamil, allowing him to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
Over his illustrious career, Dr. Sahu has undergone advanced international training, including programs at UAB, Alabama, MUSC, South Carolina, and Shanghai Medical University, focusing on EUS, enteroscopy, NBI, and ESD techniques. He has led major workshops in India and served as the Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at IMS & SUM Hospital, and later as a senior consultant at Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar. His contributions to medical science include over 12 national and international publications and several impactful research works covering liver diseases, gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatitis B, pancreatitis, dermatophyte infections, and chronic constipation. Dr. Sahu has also authored chapters in major textbooks and contributed to position statements in gastroenterology.
