Overview

Dr Rajashekhar is a well-known orthopaedic surgeon with an overall experience of more than 18 years. His areas of expertise include heat treatment, arthroscopy, hip arthroplasty, shoulder discomfort, and knee & hip replacements. As an author, he twice won the Dholakia Award for Best Paper Presentation. He has written several publications about joint replacement surgery. He has performed several visits for hip and knee replacement surgery in the UK and the USA.

He is now a member of the Karnataka Medical Council, the Indian Orthopedic Association, the Bangalore Orthopedic Association, and the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr Rajashekhar has exclusively performed joint replacement surgeries, such as primary and revision hip and knee replacement operations and computer-assisted joint replacement surgeries.

Education

Dr Rajashekhar did his MBBS from J.J.M. Medical College in Davanagere, Karnataka, in 1997, his MS in Orthopaedics from Bangalore Medical College in 2002, and his M.Ch. Orthopaedics from the University of Seychelles USAIM in 2016. Dr Rajshekhar also completed a highly esteemed fellowship in adult reconstruction and joint replacement under the supervision of Dr Ranawat, the pioneer of joint replacement surgery, at the Ranawat Orthopaedic Center & Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, from July 2014 to September 2014.
