He completed his MBBS from Dr Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore, in March 1990. He then received his MS in General Surgery from Command Hospital Air Force, Bangalore, in March 1995. He also has an M.Ch in Neurosurgery which he completed from SION Hospital Mumbai in July 1999.
