    Dr. Suresh Raghavaiah is a distinguished HPB and Multi-Organ Transplant Surgeon, trained at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic, USA, and with over 15 years of experience in advanced transplant and hepatobiliary surgery.

    After completing his General Surgery training at St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru, he pursued a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive HPB Surgery at L’Institut Mutualiste Montsouris, Paris. His deep interest in immunology led him to complete a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in Transplant Immunology and therafter an Abdominal Multi-Organ Transplant Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, USA.

    On returning to India, Dr. Suresh has been instrumental in developing and leading several HPB and transplant programs nationwide. He established the team that performed the first Liver Transplant in Punjab and launched Liver Transplant services in the Karnataka Government sector at St. John’s Medical College and JSS Medical College, Mysore. His team also achieved the first and only Pancreas After Kidney Transplant in Karnataka and continues to perform the maximum number of pancreas transplants in the state.

    Respected for both his surgical precision and approachable nature, Dr. Suresh’s key interests include Liver and Pancreas Cancer Surgery, Liver–Kidney, and Pancreas Transplants. His ongoing research focuses on ABO-incompatible and Crossmatch-positive Liver and Kidney Transplantation, and he is deeply passionate about expanding Pancreas Transplant availability for diabetic patients.
