    • Decorated and awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Government of Gujarat for tireless services in the July 2009 terrorist blast in the city. Awarded the P.R Thakore Gold Medal for standing first in M.ch examination in 2005.
    • First Neurosurgeon in Gujarat to start minimally invasive neurosurgeries (More than 220 cases), do maximum cases of endoscopic third ventriculostomy ( more than 70 cases in last 2 years), do endoscopic assisted Microvascular decompression for Trigeminal neuralgias, chairi malformation (only 25mm skin incision)., do posterior fixation with custom made titanium screw & rod ( way back in 2006), when no Indian made implants were available. Till date have done more than 45 cases of CV junction anomaly requiring posterior fixation, do supracilliary incision with mini fronto-orbital craniotomy for all anterior skull base tumors like craniopharygiomas, meningiomas, pituitary adenomas, gliomas, metastasis, CSF rhinorrhea, anterior circulation aneurysms etc ( more than 100 cases to credit). Only member (as Assistant Professor) in committee of distinguished neurosurgeons (Professors & Head) formed for establishing AIIMS like centres in India under Pradhan Mantri Swastha Seva Yojna scheme. Established a dedicated neurosurgery suite at civil hospital & B.J Medical college having all facilities like brain lab (framless neuronavigation), Neuroendoscope, intraoperatve EMG, visual evoked potential monitoring machine, pentro microscope etc. Chosen by Hon’ble Health minister to prepare pilot project for establishing a dedicated neuroscience centre (likes of NIMHANS) for Gujarat. Already prepared at microplanning level at cost of 500crores & submitted. Recognized post graduate teacher at Gujarat University. Been an examiner at MCh Neurosurgery thrice.
