Professional Work

Dr Correa is an expert clinician in medical genetics, with a wide range of experience in diagnosing and managing various genetic disorders. These include monogenic and chromosomal syndromes, hereditary and familial cancers, intellectual disability, fetal anomalies, skeletal dysplasias, inborn errors of metabolism, and genetic disorders affecting the nervous system, kidneys, heart, intestines, and skin. He also has experience managing patients with the latest treatments in clinical genetics, such as gene therapy and RNA therapeutics.
Dr Correa has a strong interest in the clinical use of genomic testing. In his previous role, he led the genomics division at a top diagnostic lab, where he applied his clinical and technical skills to analyze and interpret Next Generation Sequencing tests for patients from all over India. He has also published original research on the value of genomic testing for genetic disorders in fetuses.
Dr Correa has been a speaker and faculty at medical conferences and continuing medical education programs. He has also been actively involved in teaching and training programs for medical students and postgraduates.
