Intro

Cancer does not just affect one’s physical strength but it also directly impacts the emotional stability and the self-confidence of a person. The journey of a cancer patient is not easy and the pain and the emotional feeling they undergo cannot be always expressed in words. Fear, anger, stress, loneliness, frustrations and many more elements lock the mind and soul. As much as the patient, even the family members undergo a stressful life. A cancer patient undergoes emotional pressure as they might be undergoing metabolic changes, weight loss, hair loss and worrying about how their life after cancer is going to be also adds to the emotional pressure. The objective of the cancer support group is to motivate the survivors and to guide them to be emotionally stable and support them in living a quality life after their cancer treatment

Why join a cancer support group?

The cancer support group is created to bring together a group of like-minded people who would like to provide and receive cancer-related education, emotional, and social support. It is also a place to keep yourself updated with the latest development in cancer care. In the group, a member would be able to share and listen to various stories of success & survivorship, tips on what to expect during treatment, what would be the side effects of the treatment, how to overcome stress, pain & fear, the do’s and don’ts, the best diet to practice and many other useful contents. This group will help not only to improve the ability of a patient to cope with and alleviate the feeling of loneliness, but also to give them a sense of hope and confidence by assuring them that they are not alone in this battle.
