The treatment plan is based on the type and stage of cancer, relevant test results, overall health, and the patient’s needs and preferences. The team explains the available options, expected benefits, possible side effects, and next steps.

Treatment may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormone therapy, or a combination of treatments. The recommended approach depends on the cancer and the individual patient. Throughout treatment, the care team monitors progress, manages side effects, and adjusts the plan when clinically required.

Supportive care helps patients manage the physical and emotional effects of cancer and its treatment. Services may include pain and symptom management, nutrition guidance, psychological support, rehabilitation, and palliative care. Support is tailored to the needs of patients and their families and may be provided at any stage of care.

Follow-up care helps assess the response to treatment, manage any ongoing or delayed side effects, and monitor recovery. Support continues after active treatment ends. Each follow-up plan is personalised according to the cancer, treatment received, and individual health needs.
