Apollo Proton Cancer Centre:

The opening of the Proton Cancer Centre marks the dawn of a new era for cancer treatment in this part of the world. The first proton therapy facility located within a comprehensive cancer centre, it gives patients access to a therapy that is extremely precise in destroying cancer cells.

Proton therapy is a powerful combination of high-energy physics and radiation. The therapy will propel cancer care well into the 21st century and beyond. For more than one-half of a century, the idea of using energized protons to treat cancer has been evolving in the laboratories of physicists and medical scientists around the world.

The Apollo Proton Cancer Centre (APCC), offers state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer care. It is a major milestone in India’s concerted focus to battle and conquer cancer. Powered by a cutting-edge multi-room Proton Centre, APCC is India’s first JCI accredited cancer hospital that is revolutionizing Radiation Oncology not just in India, but across the region.
