FAQs

All healthy adults must consult an ophthalmologist for a comprehensive eye exam by the age of 40. Other reasons you may have to consult an ophthalmologist are:

  • If you have an eye infection
  • After an acute eye injury
  • If you experience vision changes or sudden blurriness
  • If you have new floaters or flashes in your vision
  • If you have double vision or sudden loss of vision
  • If you have diabetes, hypertension, or other systemic health problems
  • If you have been referred by other ophthalmologists

Eye check-ups are very important for young children. If one notices his/her child has difficulty seeing objects like a blackboard/television, eye rubbing, watering or squinting, it indicates that the child might have a refractive error.

Patients must stop wearing contact lenses before their preoperative measurements for cataract surgery. This is needed because contact lenses alter the shape of the cornea and outer surface of the eye.

After cataract surgery or phacoemulsification, the time it takes for a patient to notice improvements in vision varies. However within a few days to weeks following the surgery, a lot of patients report noticeable improvements in their eyesight.

The eye surgeon uses anaesthetic drops in your eyes when performing the surgery. This will have a numbing effect on your eyes. So, you will not feel any pain at the time of surgery. You may feel mild pain after surgery completion once the numbness effect wears off. The doctor will prescribe medications or eye drops after surgery.

Patients undergoing LASIK have better eyesight as soon as the day following surgery. It can take a few weeks for vision to stabilise completely. Visual outcomes continue to improve over time.

Conductive Keratoplasty is designed to temporarily reduce farsightedness. Regardless of the procedure performed, our eyes naturally change over time. Conductive Keratoplasty SM (CK) can help address farsightedness, offering a way to mitigate its effects.

With FEMTO LDV Z8, a variety of operations may be carried out, such as cataract, therapeutic, and refractive. Several procedures include keratoplasties, intrastromal pockets, Z-Lasik, Z-Cataract, and CLEAR.

The FEMTO LDV Z8 offers numerous benefits, including

  • High accuracy that helps control incisions and tissue manipulation in the eye
  • Applicable for a range of laser treatments such as refractive, cataract, and therapeutic
