Pediatric Cardiology


Pediatric Cardiologists treat heart conditions in babies (including unborn ones), children and adolescents. We have a high degree of success in dealing with structural, functional, and rhythm-related problems of the heart.


Here are some of the procedures that our Pediatric Cardiac Surgeons routinely perform:


  • Atrial Septal Defect: a defect between the heart's atria (the two upper chambers)
  • Ventricular Septal Defect: a defect between the heart's ventricles (the two lower chambers)
  • Coarctation of Aorta: a birth defect that causes a part of the aorta (the major artery leading out of the heart) to narrow
  • Patent Ductus Arteriosus: an abnormal circulation of blood between the aorta and the pulmonary artery
  • Tetralogy of Fallot: a common cause of ‘blue babies’
