The treatment of all cancers depends on the stage at which cancer is detected. If it gets detected at an early stage, the cure rate for cancer is high.

Cancer is a common and serious disease prevalent all across the world and the number of Lung Cancer patients has grown in the past few years. Lung cancer is caused when there is abnormal cell growth on one or both lungs. These cells grow swiftly and cause tumours, and these tumours slowly spread all over the body, making the patient sick.

Once your lung cancer has been detected, your doctor will start working on determining the extent (spread) of your cancer.

      • Surgery – During surgery, the doctors works to get rid of the Lung Cancer surgically.
      • Chemotherapy – Chemotherapy uses drugs to destroy cancer cells. One or more chemotherapy drugs are administered intravenously or taken orally. A blend of drugs is typically given throughout the treatment over a phase of weeks or months, with intervals in between
      • Targeted Therapy – This therapy uses drugs to obstruct the growth and spread of cancer cells
      • Radiation Therapy – Radiation therapy uses high-energy radiation beams such as  X-rays (Phgotons), protons etc. to kill the cancer cells. For people suffering from locally advanced Lung Cancer, Radiation therapy may be used before surgery or after surgery
      • Immunotherapy – This procedure uses your immune system to combat cancer
