  • He undertook a Fellowship in structural heart disease intervention such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation (TAVI), Balloon aortic valvuloplasty (BAV), PFO and ASD Closure at King’s College Hospital, London. King’s is one of the highest volume TAVI centre in UK performing around 100 TAVIs per annum since Aug 2007.
  • He also performs other invasive procedures like Permanent pacemaker and AICD (Defibrillator) implantation, implantable loop recorder, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertion, right and left heart catheterisation, Right ventricular (RV) biopsy and transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE). He had full Echo accreditation from British Society of Echocardiography from 2008- 2013.

  • Acute Haemodynamic changes after balloon aortic valvuloplasty (BAV) and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). (King’s College Hospital, London
  • Observational study aimed to define the immediate haemodynamic changes after BAV and TAVI and to identify the mechanism of observed LV impairment
  • Co-investigator in the following TAVI related studies: (King’s College Hospital Sapien-3 (Edwards) Valve PORTICO valve JENNA valve
  • Risk scoring model for heart failure (Pilot study): (The Essex CTC)
  • Small pilot study of 150 patients to try and develop a model for risk scoring to predict mortality and re-admission within 30 days of index admission in patients with heart failure.
