Dr. Shivanna Venkataramana is a highly accomplished Anaesthesiologist and Chronic Pain Specialist with more than 25 years of experience in anaesthesia, critical care, and interventional pain medicine. He is currently serving as Consultant Anaesthesiologist & Chronic Pain Specialist at Apollo Hospitals, Sheshadripuram, Bengaluru.

He completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College, followed by MD in Anaesthesia from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh. Further enhancing his international expertise, he earned the FRCA from the Royal College of Anaesthesia, UK, and the Fellowship of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) from the World Institute of Pain, USA.

Dr. Shivanna has extensive expertise in chronic pain management, cancer pain relief, spine pain interventions, nerve blocks, radiofrequency procedures, and critical care medicine. He is also proficient in acupuncture-based pain management techniques and advanced interventional therapies aimed at improving quality of life for patients suffering from persistent pain conditions.

His special interests include chronic back and neck pain, neuropathic pain, cancer pain management, and interventional pain therapy. Over the course of his career, he has gained valuable international experience while working at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, UK, in the fields of anaesthesia and chronic pain management. He has also served as a Lecturer in Anaesthesiology at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru.

Dr. Shivanna is actively involved in academic activities, medical education, and research. He has participated in international multicentre pain research studies and has published and presented research on chronic pain and burn injury rehabilitation at various national and international forums. He is a sought-after faculty member and speaker at pain medicine conferences and workshops.

He is an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the Royal College of Anaesthesia (UK), the British Medical Acupuncture Society, and the Indian Society for Study of Pain.
