Dr. Panishekar K.R. is a highly experienced Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Critical Care Specialist with special expertise in Cardiac Anaesthesia and Cardiac Critical Care. With over two decades of clinical experience, he has been associated with several reputed healthcare institutions including Apollo Hospitals Seshadripuram, Sagar Super Specialty Hospital, Bangalore Hospital, St. John’s Medical College Hospital and Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Bengaluru.
He completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, followed by an MD in Anesthesiology from Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur. He further pursued a Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia at Wockhardt Multi Specialty Hospital, Bengaluru, in association with Harvard Medical University.
Dr. Panishekar is skilled in administering anaesthesia for cardiovascular, thoracic and cath lab procedures, along with comprehensive ICU and ventilator management. His expertise includes managing critically ill patients with septicemia, respiratory failure, renal dysfunction, neurological and gastrointestinal complications. He is also proficient in cardiopulmonary cerebral resuscitation, arrhythmia management, invasive line placement and perioperative critical care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Panishekar has extensive teaching experience, having trained National Board students, nursing students, nurses, physiotherapists and physician assistants. His academic contributions also include research work in post-operative pain management during his MD training. Known for his dedication and independent case management skills, he continues to provide advanced anaesthesia and critical care services with a patient-centric approach.
