Dr. Rooma Sinha, Senior Gynaecologist, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad was honoured with the Legend of the Year award in the Times Health Care Achievers Awards, Telugu States.

The First edition of the Times Health Care Achievers, Telugu States was held in February 2017. It honoured stalwarts in the Health Care Sector, including Institutions, Hospitals and Physicians across categories. The Categories awarded were-Young Achievers, Rising Stars and Legends in their respective fields.

Vattikuti Foundation C. E. O., Dr. Mahendra Bhandari served as the Jury Chair. The other members of the Jury were Dr. Lilly D. Engineer, Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Dr. Girdhar J. Gyani, Director General of the Association of Healthcare Providers, and Lov Verma, Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Dr. Rooma Sinha, Senior Gynaecologist, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad was honored with the Legend of the year award (Obstetrics & Gynecology). She was the only Gynecologist to receive this award in her specialty.
