On the occasion of World Happiness day, organ recipients thank donors at Apollo Health City, Hyderabad

The celebration of World Happiness Day is to commemorate the recognition, by the United Nations, of the pursuit of happiness as a human right and a fundamental human goal.

The Organ Transplantation journey at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad is spread over 100 liver transplantations and many more kidney transplantations. The team has had the privilege to witness the amazing journey of these patients from disease to health and from despair to hope. It is our constant endeavor to spread health and happiness through good work. The superlative outcomes of liver transplantation with over 95% success rates, which is better than the national and international average, ensures that the generosities of donor families do not go waste and we have more smiling faces at the end of the day.

We have also witnessed the constant desire of the organ recipients and their families to thank the donor families for their generosities, and rightly so, because the cure of organ failure through transplantation has been the key component to their happiness. This World Happiness Day celebration is a small effort from Apollo Hospitals in collaboration with Jeevandan to provide a forum to the recipient families to express their gratitude towards the donor families and an assurance to those families that their gesture has been instrumental in spreading happiness in the lives of so many.
