1. Cure foundation
The CURE foundation is an effort by Apollo Hospitals
to bring cancer care to those who cannot afford it.
Cancer among the poor is lethal. Due to a lack of
information and resources, delays and inadequate
treatment are the norm. CURE extends preventive as
well as rehabilitative cancer treatment to the poor.

2. Society to Aid the Hearing Impaired (SAHI)
The Society to Aid the Hearing Impaired is a
foundation to help underprivileged children with
impaired hearing. SAHI seeks to identify children in
rural areas with minimal access to modern medical
treatment. A team of experienced ENT specialists has
offered its services to SAHI totally free of cost.
All surgical treatments have been subsidised by
Apollo Hospitals.
3. Apollo rural community health centre
The APOLLO RURAL COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE was
established at Ayanambakkam near Chennai in 2005.
The centre caters to an average of 94 inpatients and
800 outpatients per month. Several rural health
initiatives have been regularly implemented .
4. Koyambedu free emergency care centre
This was established at Koyambedu at the outskirts
of Chennai where heavy vehicle traffic is very high
with high risk of road accidents. The centre caters
to nearly 1000 cases per month and provides first
aid emergency services.
5. Aragonda model of health care
Apollo Hospitals has addressed the problem of
inadequate health care for people in rural areas by
launching the Telemedicine Unit in Aragonda village
in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh bringing
advanced, yet affordable health care to over 50,000
people.
The project offers -
Telemedicine services - referral services, second
opinion, post-acute care, interpretation service and
health education.
Physical infrastructure - clean water supply,
sanitation, drainage, solid waste and better roads.
Preventive health care programmes - community
service in partnership with the primary health care
centres.
Health Insurance - the Gram Panchayat propagates a
scheme at Re.1 per day for a family of 5. Through an
insurance cover extended by National Insurance
Corporation (NIC) and Oriental Insurance Corporation
(OIC), upto Rs. 15,000 in patient care is covered.
Apollo Hospitals bears the extra cost.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has
provided the satellite facilities and citadel. GE
and Wipro have extended their support to the
undertaking.
6.DISHA – Distance healthcare advancement project
Disha is a Distance health care advancement project
,an initiative partnered by Apollo hospitals,
Philips, ISRO and the Dhan Foundation.
This is basically a mobile Teleclinical van that
will reach out to areas that do not have access to
state of the art medical care .This facility offers
superspeciality and speciality tele consultation,
lab facilities,onsite consultation and secondary and
tertiary care where needed.
