Abdur Razzaque Ansari Memorial Hospital (ARAM) in Ranchi is the only super speciality hospital in this area of the country. It was founded in 1996 by the Chotanagpur Regional Handloom Weavers Co-operative Union Ltd and the members of the family of the late Abdur Razzaque Ansari.

The hospital provides state-of-the-art medical facilities to the most backward regions of the country thereby arresting the migration of needy patients to other metros for all their major ailments. Today ARAM, Ranchi is comparable to any super-speciality hospital in the country.
This has been made possible by the dedication of the management and doctors, devoted nurses and para-medical staff, skilled and knowledgeable executives and other personnel.
