Dr. Ajit Pai is a highly experienced Surgical Oncologist based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, with over 18 years of dedicated practice in the field. He has earned a reputation for his advanced surgical techniques and his ability to manage complex cancer cases. Dr. Pai's qualifications include an MBBS, MS, MCh, FRCS (England), and FACS, underscoring his extensive training and expertise.
He has undergone rigorous fellowship training in specialized areas, including liver, gallbladder, and biliary cancer surgery from prestigious institutions like Nagoya, Kyoto, and Tokyo Universities. Furthermore, he has completed fellowship training in esophageal cancer surgery at Osaka University, and a UICC fellowship in pancreatic cancer surgery at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. His skills are further enhanced by an advanced fellowship in Minimally Invasive, Laparoscopic, and Robotic Gastrointestinal Surgery from the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA.
Dr. Pai specializes in the comprehensive management of various cancers, including esophageal, stomach, colon, rectal, liver, gallbladder, bile duct, and pancreatic cancers. He is also proficient in gynecological cancers, specifically uterine, ovarian, and cervical cancers. His expertise extends to laparoscopic and robotic surgical procedures as well as cytoreductive surgeries and innovative treatments like HIPEC and PIPAC for ovarian, gastric, colon, and appendix cancers. Additionally, he offers management solutions for peritoneal mesothelioma and performs breast-conservative surgery along with oncoplasty for breast cancer patients.
