He holds an MBBS degree alongside an MS in Orthopaedics, a DNB in Orthopaedics from PGI, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Orthopaedics. His dedication to the field of Orthopaedics is reflected through his leadership roles as President of the Indian Arthroplasty Association during 2015-16 and as President of the Telangana Orthopedic Surgeons Association in 2016-17. He also serves as a Board Member for Arthroplasty Surgeons in Asia, showcasing his commitment to advancing his specialty at a regional and international level.
Specializing in complex primary total knee replacements (TKR) and total hip replacements (THR), Dr. Reddy has extensive expertise in managing joint replacement for severe deformities, revision TKR and THR, and addressing infected joint replacements. Throughout his career, Dr. Reddy has been recognized for his contributions to Orthopaedic surgery, notably receiving the Michael Bastow Audit Prize in 1993 for his work on the audit of perioperative antibiotic prophylaxis in colorectal surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn. He has studied in Andhra Pradesh Residential School, Sarvail and Andhra Pradesh Residential Junior College, Nagarjuna Sagar. He is the EAMCET Topper in 1980 batch. He completed his Medicine from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. He was titled as the best outgoing student.
He did Post Graduation in Orthopaedics in one of the premier institutes of India, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. Then he went to UK and spent about 14 years. After doing FRCS General, he got into specialist Orthopaedic training in Royal London and Saint Bartholomew Hospitals , London and completed his FRCS in Orthopaedics from four Royal Colleges.
He also did advanced training in joint replacement surgery. He was among the few from India to be complete FRCS Orth and to be appointed as chief of the unit for joint replacement surgery in Basildon and Thurrock NHS Hospitals.
He joined Apollo Hospitals Group in Hyderabad in 2003, since then he has done extensive work in joint replacement surgery. He was invited to give guest lectures in India and abroad and he did live surgeries in many conferences.
He has got passion for teaching and trained many surgeons. He has written many publications in Indian and international journals.
He has treated many sports legends, to name few, Sania Mirza, Sir Richard Hadlee etc.
