which updates you on the health of patients admitted
in Apollo Hospital Chennai.
What is Virtual Patient Visit?
There are often times when near-and-dear ones of
patients cannot be physically present at the
hospital bed side. The reasons can be distance or
hospital procedures. Virtual patient visit is a
innovative concept that allows near and dear ones of
the patient to see photos, watch videos and hear their
loved ones. They can also send greeting cards to the
patient to show that they care and love them.
How does it work?
- The patient opts for the service and chooses the
date he needs to be visited by a technician of the
vPv team.
- A unique user name and password is given to the
patient.
- On the day of the visit the technician visits the
patient and takes photographs, videos and audio from
the patient.
- The technician also gets the e-mail address of the
near and dear ones of the patient.
- The technician then uploads the photos, audio and
video files to the web server and creates a
personalized page for the patient.
- The technician then sends an e-mail to all the
e-mail addresses provided by the patient. When any
visitor sends a greeting card for the patient it is
delivered to the patient.
